Important in Medicine because…

·         Working alongside Antoine Henri Becquerel, Marie Curie and he discovered the first radioactive isotopes.

·         These are used in diagnoses as tracers in radiotherapy and immunosuppression (these are drugs that stop bodies rejecting transplanted organs).
